An awesome combined service of 900plus people held at the TSB Showplace on Easter Sunday Night 2005. Stephen's story is the amazing story of the unexpected transformation of one broken man by the power of Jesus Christ. Having been abandoned by his parents at the age of seven, he became a child of the streets, a member of a violent gang called the Black Shadows and a Communist bitterly opposed to God and what was then the Government of Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). One night in 1962, when on a terrorist mission to blow up a bank, he was miraculously converted and ever since has been sharing his testimony and preaching the Word of God. Stephen met Michael Cassidy (Founder and International Team Leader of African Enterprise) in 1982 and was invited to join the team. He now serves as AE Team Leader in Malawi and visited New Zealand in 2005 to preach and share from his book "Out of the Black Shadows". |
